Baseball is Here!!!

Well, we got the call, the field is ready. Both boys will be playing on Monday and Wednesdays so we will be running back and forth. The boys are excited. Saturday I took them to Camp Boyhaven (the cub scout camp) and we helped clean up the camp. It is called the spring gopher day, where all of the saratoga packs come and help. We got free lunch and lots of exercise, the boys really enjoyed it. I told them that now they will appreciate it more when they go to summer camp because they worked to help get it ready. Other than that, it was a normal hectic week. I will take baseball pics tomorrow and put them on. See ya later.

Don't Forget to check out the new website!!!

I made a website for the boys cub scout pack, check it out. The link is at the bottom of the right side on this page. Let me know what you think.

Cub Scouts is Done

Well, Friday night marked the end of another great year for cub scouts. Nicolas graduated to the wolf den and Alex graduated to Webelos II (he'll be a boy scout next year). It was a great pack meeting and very touching. I also gave a speech for Eric Butler, another den leader, who is leaving us to move up to boy scouts with his son. I made him teary-eyed. The entire committee bought him a gorgeous plaque and a gift certificate to the Waterhouse Restaurant to thank him for all of his commitment and time. We will still have a summertime activity every month as a pack but other than that we are done until September. Baseball was supposed to start this week but due to some faulty sprinkler systems the entire field is currently a big hole. We are hoping to start next week now. Once we do I will take some pics to put on. The only other big news I have is, one, after two years of struggling, Nicolas Moses can finally ride his bike without training wheels. I will get a pic of him doing it today and put it on later tonight. Second, Alex received the citizen of the month award for his class this month. Thats about it for now, have a great week.

The Cutest Pic of the night!!!

This was just before the choir concert, I forgot to add it. It is too cute to not have on here.

The Song Birds!

Well the boys had the big choir concert tonight and they both did great! I have a couple of pics for you also. Nicolas is the only cutie pie I know that can pull off a suit with a mohawk. Alex looked like a man when he was up there. And yes, that is his bud Sawyer right next to him. I think they were the best looking boys there, but I am totally biased too. This week has been very hectic for them with Michael having his episode; they are just now getting back to normal. In case you didn't know, Michael had two severe seizures Monday night and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. He almost stopped breathing so I called 911. That iis what happens when you don't take your medicine. Anyways, he is doing fine now, still has popped blood vessels all over his face and eyes but he is good. I took a pic of him for you to see too. That is really what his eyes look like, and no, he does not have sunburn (its the popped blood vessels). The boys think he looks like the devil. He is being very serious about his condition finally and is taking his pills everyday so he won't look like this again. We'll talk to you all again soon.

Cub Scouts Bowling

Well as promised I have two pics for you from our bowling extravaganza on Saturday. This was a pack function so all of the dens attended. I have a pic of Nicolas with his den and Alex with his den. The boys had alot of fun. Alex beat his teammates in every game. Nicolas got a strike for the first time ever on his very last shot. Everyone got free pizza and soda too. Cub Scouts has been really busy so we just wanted to take a day and relax. Some of our upcoming events are: graduation ceremonial pack meeting on the 27th, Kidney Disease Walk on May 6th (if you would like to sponsor the boys, email me or call me) which sponsors all LOCAL services and programs for patients, the Memorial Day Parade (we are making a paper mache float), Cub Scout camp in July, and so on and so on. I will try to take photos at everything to keep you up to date, talk to you again soon...

You are not going to believe this!!!!!!!

Well I finally did it. Michael volunteered to help coach Nicolas' baseball team. After watching me volunteer for everything and anything he finally felt it was time. The boys have been harping at him for a couple years now because he is so good at sports (he is such a natural athlete it literally makes you sick). The catch was though, mom had to do it too! Go figure, right? I am sure we'll have a good time, plus with Nicolas' ADHD we can keep him in control better. We are going bowling with the cub scouts on Saturday so I'll take some pics to put on the blog. See ya!

It's Vacation Time (again!!!)

Last week was a pretty good week. The boys got great report cards. Alex missed honor roll by 3 points this quarter so he was disappointed but I reminded him he has one more quarter to make it up. Nicolas' marks were very high considering the trouble he has been having regulating to his ADHD behavior program. He seems to be responding well but still has his moments (don't we all). The big hockey award assembly was Thursday and both of the boys got their medals. Mom even got a gift certificate to the Waterhouse for running the snack bar for the third year. Nicolas was very proud that his mom was the only one called up on stage. On Saturday, the first day of vacation, the boys were out rollerblading and Nicolas decided to crash face first on the sidewalk. That pretty much told me it was going to be a interesting spring break. They were happy with the easter bunny on Sunday, but even happier when mom made her spaghetti for dinner. This week they have play dates almost every day (here and there) so I am going to be doing my spring cleaning (even though there is snow on the ground). Here are some photos from this past week: the boys with their awards, little Mo's road rash, and Michael just being Michael (Alex took it). Have a great week and send us some of your own photos.

Busy Week!

Just wanted to give everyone an update, this week was crazy! Dad worked 12 hour shifts all week at the cement company while mom worked all week at the school and home. Nicolas had cub scouts and chorus while Alex had band and the big trip to Camp Ghingacook. Alex was gone Thursday and came home Friday at 7 pm. They hiked up Pilot Knob so he was pretty exhausted. Nicolas loved having mommy all to himself for two days; we had lots of fun. He had kind of a hard week at school though, very fidgety and anxious but we turned it around by Friday. His new behavior plan seems to be working; it just takes a while to see full results. We are getting ready to go clean the backyard so I will update again soon. Here is one of my favorite pics of jinx, she has it so rough! We just finally broke both the dogs of getting on the furniture because we are getting a new set.

Nicolas' big win!!!

Nicolas reminded of something today that I cannot believe I forgot to mention. At the cake bake for cub scouts we found out that Nicolas had won a BIG prize. The saratoga council has a drawing with six prizes every year for all of the scouts that fill a popcorn order form (Nicolas filled five). Our little Mo managed to get picked for the grand prize... a Mongoose electric scooter!!! It is very cool and fast (goes up to 12 mph). He was extremely excited and so were everyone else because that is the 1st time anyone from Corinth has won.

Nicolas's new wife

Here is nicolas's new wife, Jensen Kingsley. She is the little sister of Alex's friend Sawyer. These two have become very close this year, close enough where Nicolas doesn't even mention Marlee anymore. Oh yeah, this is also a good shot of Mo's new haircut. We argued all the way to the salon and finally I just gave in. It is a spiked mohawk!!! His hair grows so fast it'll be gone in a couple of weeks. Jensen loves it!!!!

The Cub Scout Cake Bake

Here is Nicolas' Big Mac cake that we made for the cake bake. It is all cake except for the lettuce (fondait), tomatoes (frosting coated sugar cookies), eyes (marshmallows and M&Ms), and sesame seeds (pine nuts). It placed 2nd in best of show and auctioned off at $45. It was one of the highest bids of the night. We ended up raising over $1000 for cub scout camp. Alex's cake didn't win anything but it did auction off for $35. It was a cub scout camp theme equipped with a blue jello pond in the middle. It only took me a little over four hours to make them both.

The Hockey Championships

Alex and Nicolas had their hockey championships this month and they both won!!! Nicolas's team won 6-1 and Alex's team won 4-2. They both are extremely happy and will definitely miss playing (until next winter). Baseball is only 2-3 weeks away though so they won't be bored for long. Here are a couple of pics - Little Mo after the game and then Alex's team doing the trophy skate. They both were #6 this year just like their dad always was.

Alex's 4th Grade Play

Here are some pics from Alex's 4th grade play. They did the Little Mermaid and it was adorable. Alex was the butler and friend of Prince Eric so he had a pretty big part. Mike and I spent many weekends helping with the scenery. Sebastion the crab is one of Alex's best friends, Sawyer Kingsley (Matt Kingsley's son).

We are back!!!

Well I know it has been a while but I figured I better get back into this. The boys just celebrated their birthdays for the year; Alex's was today. I don't know what is worse, having to turn 30 years old in January or watching Alex turn 10. I made it through the day though. The boys are finishing up with the hockey season, both are in the championships. Nicolas's big game is this Sunday. Alex's is next Sunday. They are extremely excited and can't wait. We will be finishing hockey just in time for baseball to start. Mike has been working LONG hours at GF Cement company for the past couple of weeks. He still has a couple more to go. As for me, I am just trying to do whatever I need to everyday to keep it running smoothly for the family. It's a hard job but someone's gotta do it. I'll try to put some new photos on tomorrow. See ya later!
